Hi ido, I think it depends whether you are asking about skips between any triplet in the family of 47 or skips between a repeat of the same triplet. The tables below show all the triplet appearances in the UK lotto to draw 1498.



The left hand table has each triplet appearance in order of its identity and shows reappearances of the same triplet so repeats of the same one can be seen and the repeat skip is shown for each. The maximum repeat skip was 1412 for 2,3,4.

The second table is a chronological list of when any triplet appeared and the skips between any triple and any other triple are shown in the right hand column. The maximum skip was 86 for the triplet appearing on draw 518.
The average repeat skip for a named triplet is 412.5 draws (4 years ! )
whilst the average skip between any triplet in this family of 47 is 22.74 draws. The earlier quoted figure of 36 draws failed to account for repeats of the same triplet multiple times, hence its a higher figure.
