Thanks for the link David, He echoes my thoughts on the subject, although I'm not so sure enlightened players would defect to Euromillions if they knew the odds. Thats a game I would only play when the jackpot gets to 80 million.

These days, I prefer to spend my savings from playing on Alcohol and cheap Russian Woman.

Sorry just bounced in as I'm having a few and looking at some old haunts.

Despite the 10m main Lotto Super Draw,

You are quoting RK Lloyd from his Merseyworld website. More interesting will be tonight's ticket sales, without a super draw or 1000 raffle winners. A rollover I suspect.

R K Lloyd comments:

As I suspected, there were a record low number (under 9m) of main Lotto tickets purchased for any draw to date and this was more than a third less than the previous lowest (14m back in July this year). This roughly means 1 out of every 3 Wednesday main Lotto players has cut back or abandoned that draw, but revenue is up 29% from last Wednesday, so that's a "success", right?

RE: New Lotto - valelli - 10-11-2013 04:12 PM

hi david a success yeah right lets see what happens after saturday, thats the last of the 1000 raffle prizes give it a couple of weeks and the novelty will wear off and the ticket sales will as well.

RE: New Lotto - David - 10-22-2013 04:19 AM

For the fifth consecutive draw, the number of main Lotto tickets purchased fell to a record low for that day's draw, as less than 20m tickets were sold for Saturday's draw for the first time.
