have just seen the adverts in my local supermarket, time to dust off those dust sheets again, hopefully Frank will be posting his on the 18th September the Euro is having a guaranteed jackpot of 85 mil....got to be worth a punt...

You beat me to it Val, i noticed that too in my local newsagent, I'll be having a look at my Euromllions sheet !

Actually, theres no reason why repeat analysis can't be done on Euromillions (main balls only). I have already modified my lotto version to check Euromillions for good repeat skip values and bad ones.
It is interesting to compare the probabilities of a number from one result appearing in another result for the two lotteries (and hence in the one to come).
In the Lotto around about 54% of draws have at least one number repeated to another draw so many skips away. So slightly more than 50/50 chance of a repeat.
In Euromillions its slightly less as theres an extra number and less balls are drawn, about 42% of the current draws have main ball repeats to other draws in Euromillions at various skip values. So a little less than 50/50 chance of a repeat.
For both lotteries the percentage hardly varies regardless of how many draws you skip.
For Euromillions it is still possible to find values of skip which result in the past 5 draws consecutively having repeats from a block of 5 draws in the past and I would think maybe these skips should be avoided as you might think its time for such a lucky run (given the above odds) to end.
So I've looked at the bad skip values where for 5 draws in a row there have been NO repeats to a future block, hoping that this will change in the next draw. There are only 10 such bad skip values. These are 81,139,239,33,74,77,90,255,61,71.
The table containing the results corresponding to those skips in in the attached image euroskips.gif. My software has also changed the order of the balls from left to right in order of which balls are most overdue to repeat with that value of skip. The leftmost balls are most overdue, first two cols are in red. By giving thes balls greater importance in my system I ended up with a shortlist.

The top of the list with the highest score are favourites, with the zeroes at the bottom in my elimination list. How does this compare with my other spreadsheet using 'normal' analysis ? Well there are a few similarities and using bOTH systems I'm compiling a smaller shortlisy of main balls.

PS then theres the slight problem of choosing lucky numbers !

Well in my Euromillions favourites sheet I only show you the top half of the list of numbers in sorted order of probability.
I am now going to show you the BOTTOM of that list. I have marked the result by red dots.

frank just goes to show how unpredictable it is, I had one number and 1 star, ah well wish i was french!!
